FAQ

How many Threads posts can I export for free?

This page loads one page of recent public posts, about 10 items, and lets you download that preview as CSV. It does not follow further pages. The extension exports a larger set of threads, replies, and likers to CSV, Excel, or JSON while you are logged in.

Can I export posts from a private Threads account?

No. If the public profile is marked private, the page shows the profile fields and does not request the timeline. Only public posts are included in the preview. You still need to follow Threads’ terms and the law when you save or share that public text.

What columns are in the CSV?

The preview CSV includes created_at, text, url, likes, replies, reposts, and quotes for each post in the sample. Media files are not downloaded. The extension is the path for a larger export of threads, replies, and likers in CSV, Excel, or JSON.

Do I have to install anything to download the preview?

No. The preview runs in the browser after the security check. Install Threads Export Tool when you need the full history, a user’s replies, a post’s threads, or a post’s likers, which requires you to be logged in to Threads.
